During my internship at Employee Plans Services, I was able to develop my professional skills through real-world experiences. As the business development intern, I was tasked with scheduling benefit presentations which helped close the gap in current teacher income benefits. My time spent here had a direct impact on professionals in Prince George’s,  Anne Arundel, and Baltimore county, providing them with the tools necessary to close gaps in their benefits through income protection programs. My collaboration with the sales representatives made it so that I appreciated the amount of preparation that goes into each lead. In addition, the level of autonomy I was given at EPS increased my confidence levels in my work and my decision making skills. The attention to detail and genuine passion for the work done is seen through the staff at EPS, making my time here both valuable and enjoyable. EPS offers an incredible learning environment filled with opportunities for growth and also offers many challenges for you to take on. I am forever thankful for the important lessons learned during my internship at Employee Plans Services.
